Oh how I love editing tools! I used lightroom, and at first I wasn't even thinking to delete the whole table! I just started with the food items, and then realized, "Hey I can do the whole table!" Then I started trying some different extremes in lighting and wa la, I love it! Nikita you are beautiful! :)

More editing of photos

Yep today I did some more editing. It still surprises me that if you do something you love for too long it can turn into labor.  I have recognized once again the value of REST.  Whenever I start to get overwhelmed or just DONE with editing, I know it's time to take a break.  If I don't break then I start losing the desire to do things with excellence, cuz I just wanna get done!  I used to hurry and finish those last few prints. Or when painting I would force myself to finish the painting then I would be so bummed with the outcome. Finally I recognized that when I just stopped and waited til the next day all my inspiration would come flooding back and I had a new perspective and joy to finish what I had begun!  I want to always put all of my heart into the work I do and not become lazy or half-hearted in what I do, ever!

My First McMinnville, Oregon Wedding

I will be shooting a McMinnville Oregon wedding on Sept 24 and I am sooooo excited!  God really hooked me up with this one, it was a lady from our prayer group who happened to need a wedding photographer and whatdaya know I was standing right there! :)  I am so excited to see how I am growing as I shoot more and more, it's such a joy to be able to do what you love! Yay

So I had the privilege of being a second shooter with Anne Nunn Photography.  What a joy. I feel so much more confident to have had that experience and to see what a graceful relaxed photographer Anne is.  I really enjoyed the whole experience!

Back at it (Wedding Photography and More)

Don't ever ever ever ever give up.  I keep telling myself that, because it doesn't cease to amaze me at how easily I want to do that when I don't see results immediately with things.  I am learning now with photography to keep pushing through as I face the frustrating part of marketing.  Someone can have a great gift but if no one sees it, how will it be shared.  I recognize a STRONG theme of FAITH in my life right now, and so I am taking that leap, especially in writing this blog to, what feels like, no one.

It's been a long long time.....

Yeah, I have had "photo block" I guess. Just working through pregnancy and motivation to believe in something, I don't see much fruit in yet (my photography), I definitely start to see the fruit of my womb :).  
Well, I have found the truth that motivation comes from action, as much as I don't like that truth. It's still the truth. :(  Anyway, here are a few favorites.  Have a lovely fun filled day!

I love my Boys!

 It comes in quite handy to have 4 adorable and handsome boys, to practice on!  My youngest Joel is SO expressive, he loves to make faces and then asks me to show him on my LCD screen. He's a joy.  My husband is rather patient as well.  God has blessed me with 3 amazing sons, and I have begun to recognize something that wasn't always clear to me, and that I quite frankly didn't agree with...and that is BOYS are very different from girls! And that's the way God meant to do it. :)  I kinda always thought my brothers were supposed to be more like me.  Sorry brothers, I hope you have forgiven me.
